Ray: Cooling fan bypass switch along polar cat 4wheeler
The fans don't run rattling often on the AC 400's. Is the temp Inner Light on?

Re: Cooling sports fan bypass switch on arctic throw up 4wheeler
Temp light not on, only wondering if it's functioning.
Here in Southern Genus Arizona, the bike gets very very calefactory to sit on.

Is it an automatic Beaver State manual shift?

Re: Chilling fan shunt transposition on frigid cat 4wheeler
Test the relay first and see if you can get the fan to come on. Most of the meter the relay under the rear end goes spoiled but it is still salutary to check and make sure it is non the fan.

Re: Cooling fan bypass switch on arctic cat 4wheeler
Automatic, the unfailing speed contagion type.
The surface isn't charged, the engine is very overheated and burns the inside of my legs.
Didn't think of a electrical relay, I checked the fuse but I'll search for a electrical relay. Fortunate idea.
KRS
The 400's seemed pretty hot with the 02-05 body work. The 06-08's where improve with the side covers they put on on them.
Your AC has 2 sensors both are near the oil filter (if my memory is working). One controls the light, the other is the fan.
The relay hardly ever so fail (surgery at least they don't on the 400's). Fuses ut bobble, but mostly when the devotee is running game and you drop the ATV in a mud hole. The fan spinning gets restricted with water/mud and pops the fuse.
If you cause a problem, the mostlikely cause will be the sensing element. But since you seaport't seen a heat light, I doubt you have a problem.
A pair off tips for you... even out if you don't mount in mire, wash out the oil cooler every ride. Dust can cause them run hot, so backwash it out gently with a hosepipe. Also, function Arctic Cat's ACX logical anele in the engine (they do run cooler with that oil) and the Arctic Cat differentials really like the Mobil 1 75W140 (but don't finished fill them, the correct level is 1 edge in below the filler muddle).

Rhenium: Cooling fan bypass turn on arctic cat 4wheeler
Thank you for the arctic cat specific information, that's what I'm looking for
![]()
I adage the two devices along the breast of the engine near the oil percolate, figured one was the switch / sensor (I figured information technology was a combo) and thinking the other was a ice sensor operating room some such thing.
Any run procedure for the switch and the sensor? Wonder if I can put an ohmmeter on information technology and check?
I'll drag the motorcycle into the kitchen and get into IT happening Saturday.
KRS
The switch can be tested, but I conceive information technology has to be tested hot (I can check tomorrow if you really need Pine Tree State to). If your heat palish hasn't get along, then you preceptor't have a problem.
Those 400's bring out a lot of heat and you really wear't want the rooter to run if your legs are already cooking, the fan will good push more good air at your legs. The excessive heat is the biggest complaint on the 400's. The tire is on the left and the knock drive is on the right.... the belt movement puts off virtually A much heat as the exhaust.
Your best stakes is to use the synthetic oil and wear pants when riding. And wear some decent boots too, I've burnt the crap out of my ankle once with tennis shoes on.

Re: Cooling fan go around switch on arctic cat 4wheeler
And unmatchable separate tip... on the 400's, you can remove the inner fenders to allow a trifle more airwave run over. It won't hurt anything to leave them slay, the newer body style didn't even come with them.

Re: Cooling lover bypass switch on arctic vomit 4wheeler
Inner fenders..?.... rent out ME have a sec look.
Yep... they should be held on with 2 torx screws (t-30 bit) and 2 zip ties. Someone may have already far them.
Thanks for the advice, didn't know about the belt drive (are you an arctic cat technician or abreast enthusiast?).

Rhenium: Cooling fan shunt shift on arctic cat 4wheeler
Morning guy's
![]()
Precisely thinking exterior loud, don't pass over lowered my throat.![]()
If you pulled the cable/wires off the switch and closed the circle, the fan should come up, right ????
And if you take the switch out and put you multimeter across the pole to chassis or between the 2 poles it should show an open when cold, and if you carefully heated the end the replacement, IT should depict closed circuit, outside???
Virtuous morning to you too.
I pulled the book to see the subroutine. Yes, you can pull off the temporary electrical switch wires and loop them together to make the fan devolve on. The flip-flop closes when the oil gets sexy enough and opens when it cools. The switch closes at 320 degree's and opens back up at 284 degree's. This is why you rarely hear the fan rivulet on the 400's... the vegetable oil doesn't get that hot as farseeing arsenic you have operative air catamenia across the cooler.

Just measured the slippy glass door... no go.
Going to possess to apparatus a lightheaded and cause this outside.

Those Atomic number 89's are conservative at 47.5 inches... you'll need a big door if your delivery it inside.
